Job Summary & Responsibilities
Position is within the Technology Vendor Engagement Group, part of the Office of the CIO. Responsible for working with global technologists to understand technology requirements, negotiate contracts, share best vendor engagement practices, identify vendor/client sensitivities, conduct benchmarking/research.• Manage and administer the migration of contracts from the Firms internal entities.
• Lead/participate in contract negotiations for Technology both EMEA and global – following vendor engagement model and adhering to firm wide vendor management office practices.
• Liaise with various risk management groups such as Legal, Tech Finance, Information Security, Compliance, etc to ensure firm’s vendor management policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Create financial analysis of pending transactions – review of vendor financial viability as well as total cost of ownership analysis. Includes interfacing with outside research companies (Gartner/Forrester) to create benchmarking models and identify cost savings opportunities
• Relationship navigation -liaise between GS technology management, relationship manager, GS Legal, vendor and LTE to identify and escalate vendor/client sensitivities
• Responsible for tracking Strategic Vendor Management activities, spend and trends of strategic vendors, understanding impact across firm/business units and budget variances
Basic Qualifications
