Job Summary & Responsibilities

Goldman Sachs is a global investment banking, securities and investment management firm.  We provide a wide range of services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial investors, governments, non-profit organizations and high net worth individuals.

The GSAM Fundamental Equity team, located in London, is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to work in a research analyst capacity for its real estate (REITs), European, International, and Global portfolios.

Responsibilities:
•Research coverage of the European listed real estate universe (research coverage is expected to broaden over time to include other sectors such as technology and telecoms)
•Construction of client portfolios for Real Estate, European, International and Global portfolios, including active participation in team debates about stocks across all sectors and all geographies
•Conduct independent research and interact with industry participants and management teams as part of the investment process
•Perform rigorous investment forecasting and valuation analysis (employing non-traditional and creative valuation methodologies)
•Update and maintain price target and valuation screens

Basic Qualifications

•MBA (with a finance focus) plus CFA (levels 1-3 inclusive) is preferred
•Degree in mathematics or engineering
•Minimum of 3 years of buy-side experience with an in depth coverage of a particular sector
•Experience of researching companies in multiple regions (including both Developed and Emerging Markets), with a strong preference for Emerging Markets expertise such as Brazil and India
•Experience of meeting with management teams across multiple regions, including both Developed and Emerging Markets
•Experience of making formal investment presentations and recommendations to portfolio managers for client accounts
•Excellent understanding of financial statements and the ability to analyze financial data.
•Ability to work with advanced Excel models (e.g forecasting techniques and valuation methodologies) and market data sources (Bloomberg, Factset, etc)
