The Private Wealth Management (PWM) business provides investment management and advisory services to affluent individuals, family groups and foundations who seek a high degree of service, customized investment strategies and long term tax-efficient capital appreciation.

Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management manages assets for ultra-high-net-worth clients. Our global clients, turn to our Investment Professionals as their trusted advisors to assist them in building and managing their wealth.

PWM Technology is responsible for supporting the PWM business with efficient and innovative software tools and systems. We build tools to help organize and enhance the way PWM Investment Professionals and their teams acquire business, manage investments and report to clients. A key objective is to maximize their productivity by putting structure and automation around business processes. The teams have a global presence and operate out of New York, New Jersey, Salt Lake City, London, Zurich, Bangalore and Hong Kong offices.

Role Responsibilities:

Technial leadership and mentoring for junior developers
• Key role in evolving architecture for core profile data.
• Design and develop rich APIs, data controls and monitors and Self-service access to data or perform updates not supported by functional applications.
• Interface with users locally & globally and collaborate with technical experts in the firm to build solutions that match business requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years experience working with relational databases or data warehouses
• 3-5 years of application development experience with either Java, C++, or C#.
• Quick learner and capable of multi-tasking across multiple priorities
• Effective verbal and written communicator.
• 2-3 years UNIX/Linux experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial and investing knowledge
• Experience with application integration tools such as ETL
• Experience with perl and shell scripting
• Knowledge and ability to program with GS-proprietary Slang framework
