The Goldman Sachs Technology Risk organization is a key part of the Goldman Sachs technology organization, and encompasses Information Security, Business Continuity and Risk Advisory functions.  

The tools and platform engineering team within Technology Risk is tasked with building and managing technology solutions that help the Firm protect its information assets, while measuring and managing technology risk.  Establishing a sound set of security and risk management solutions is a key mission for the tools and platform team; and is central to the success of the Technology Risk organization.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Risk Management development manager/architect to join the team.  .  This position will report to the Technology Risk Tools and Platform Engineering Manager and will be based in Jersey City, NJ at our 30 Hudson Street office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support issue and incident management workflow applications.
• Build out risk management, security incident management, threat management, and advisory workspaces.
• Develop and support key reference data sources, such as the Risk and Control catalog and the BCP catalog.
• Develop or integrate solutions for Risk Assessment across TechRisk domains.
• Integrate across home-grown and 3rd party platforms to reduce friction across TechRisk processes.

Basic Qualifications

Technical Skills

A selection of the following would be required:

• Strong knowledge of workflow platforms such as JBPM
• Demonstrable development experience in OO platforms such as Java, C++.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as DB2 or Sybase from a developer perspective.
• Ability to program in RIA platforms such as AJAX, FLEX, or SilverLight.
• Competency in scripting platforms such as PERL and PYTHON.
• Ability to collaborate with end users to design and develop optimal workflow solutions.

Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Medium scale project and program management skills.
• Clear communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to work with development teams and clients who are dispersed across geographies and time zones.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong client management skills.
• Demonstrate a passion for, and/or deep understanding of, information security and/or risk assurance.
• Previous experience in developing workflow platforms.
