Job Summary & Responsibilities

Private Wealth Management Operations supports Private Wealth Management Sales globally, which is responsible for advising wealthy individuals on strategies to build and protect their financial assets through highly customized advice and service. PWM Operations is instrumental in meeting our clients' needs and is responsible for the development, service delivery and control of global private banking; proprietary and open architecture alternative investment vehicles; derivatives trading; bookkeeping, accounting, performance measurement and reporting of Goldman-custodied assets and away-custodied assets; multiple externally managed account platforms; and multiple custody services.

PWM Operations has an opening for an Associate/Vice President to join the PWM Client On-Boarding Team. The PWM Client On-Boarding Team plays a key role in safeguarding the firm by completing a detailed review of client documentations to ensure that firm policy and regulatory requirements are met. The individual is also responsible for capturing all necessary information for regulator and firm policies and perform due diligence on these new accounts.  The ideal candidate should be able to work closely with PWM Business, Anti-Money Laundering Group, Compliance and Legal to ensure a positive client experience.
Other job responsibilities may be added over time as the build out of the PWM Ops Middle Office team evolves.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review new account to ensure that proper documentation is in place and the setup is in accordance with regulatory and firm requirements prior to approval
• Review client provided legal agreements and other documents
• Apply sound business judgment to identify unusual or suspicious documentation or activity
• Resolve issues through coordination with the PWM Business, Compliance, Legal and AML Officer
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of work experience. Previous client service experience preferred
• Strong leadership skills to effect self and team management and communication at all levels
• Highly motivated and results orientated, have a high level of self initiative to challenge and improve processes
• Strong understanding of risk and control framework in operations
• Has good interpersonal skills to establish strong business and federation relationships across regions
• Able to manage multiple task or projects and manage deadlines effectively
• Strong team player who is able to work under pressure
• Spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese) skills would be beneficial
