Job Summary & Responsibilities
Duties: Design and develop software solutions that ensure the complete capture of market risk within the firm’s centralized risk systems. Create and enhance software that discovers, catalogs, and retrieves financial instruments, risk measures and positions. Create software controls that ensure integrity and correctness of risk data. Design and optimize software solutions to ensure that there is little or no contention on shared hardware and software. Own the system development lifecycle, specifically gathering requirements, analyzing business problems, designing, software development, and deploying technology solutions.Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related Software Developer position. Must have three years experience with: developing software in object oriented languages (e.g. C ++ or Java); Linux or Unix equivalent operating systems; sorting and searching algorithms; Enterprise Database technologies (e.g. Sybase); algorithm profiling to optimize technical solutions; requirements specification, design, and testing of information systems; reporting project status and identifying technical obstacles; and interacting with business end users in a software development context.
