Private Wealth Management (PWM) business provides investment management and advisory services to affluent individuals, family groups and foundations who seek a high degree of service, customized investment strategies and long term tax-efficient capital appreciation.Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management manages assets for ultra-high-net-worth clients. Our global clients, turn to our Investment Professionals as their trusted advisors to assist them in building and managing their wealth.
PWM Technology is responsible for supporting the PWM business with efficient and innovative software tools and systems. We build tools to help organize and enhance the way PWM Investment Professionals and their teams acquire business, manage investments and report to clients. A key objective is to maximize their productivity by putting structure and automation around business processes. The teams have a global presence and operate out of New York, New Jersey, Salt Lake City, London, Zurich, Bangalore and Hong Kong offices.
Role Responsibilities:
• Technial leadership and mentoring for junior developers
• Key role in defining and implementing the strategic booking roadmap for PWM trade booking. This includes multi-year efforts to support booking flows which are currently supported by non-PWM systems.
• Design and develop rich Smart Client functionality within a composite application shell; integrate disparate services and messaging standards within a larger message broker environment
• Interface with users locally & globally and collaborate with technical experts in the firm to build solutions that match business requirements.
• Maintain close relationships with both business e.g. Fixed Income Traders and operational users e.g. execution services, US & Swiss banks, special products, mutual fund operations. To truly understand their needs and use this knowledge to provide value through systematic flows / processes / logic.
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of application development experience with multi-tier architectures.• Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies and skills:
o Experience developing enterprise applications in C# and .NET
o Experience developing Core Java
o Proficiency in architecting / designing service based solutions.
o Experience producing and consuming web services
• Strong object oriented design skills and programming concepts including design patterns.
• Experience working with internal clients and technical teams, and gathering requirements
• Experience with supporting production environments
• Highly motivated with Strong problem solving / analytical skills and ability to think strategically
• Ability to demonstrate technical and functional leadership and excellent communication skills
• Strong team player (required to work extensively with other teams both locally and globally)
Preferred Qualifications
• Relational database ( MS-SQL Server) experience (designing databases; writing stored procedures; tracing and optimizing complex queries)• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
• Unit testing, Continuous Integration, and automated regression testing experience.
• Good understanding of financial markets.
