Responsibilities
You will discharge the Air Navigation Services (ANS) security oversight function in accordance with the National Civil Aviation Security Programme. As the ANS Aviation Security Regulator, you are required to monitor and ensure compliance of the ANS group with national and international aviation security standards by conducting quality control activities such as security surveys, audits, tests, and inspections at all ANS facilities. You will also conduct reviews and investigations into security breaches and recommend appropriate remedial actions to address any underlying non-compliance issues. In addition, you will also review and assess the security enhancement projects at Changi and Seletar Airport to ensure that they fulfil the requirements of the State, are cost effective and operationally feasible.
Your goal is to ensure a high security, operational and air transport facilitation standard at both Changi and Seletar Airports. You will also help enhance the level of aviation security performance through organizing and/or participation in both local and overseas meetings, conferences and training programme. Your stakeholders include state security agencies, airport operator, aviation industry partners such as airlines, associations and ground handlers, foreign aviation security regulators as well as international organisations.
Requirements
- Good degree in any discipline, preferably with relevant experience in Aviation Security, Policing and/or the Conduct of Quality Control activities and Security Oversight.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and writing skills
- Operationally-minded and with a desire to excel and be challenged in a fast paced environment
