Job Summary & Responsibilities
Duties: Design, develop, test and maintain highly reliable surveillance systems to help with the firm’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Transaction Surveillance program. Analyze moderately complex problems, systems or information related to the transaction surveillance program and participate in design and code review discussions. Accountable for transaction surveillance project components; work closely with the business users in the Compliance division and the Analytics team in defining new surveillance requirements. Develop project plans and keep track of timelines. Utilize AML transaction surveillance business knowledge in building enhancements and new functionalities; assist in the diagnosis and resolution of system issues and other incidents in order to maintain stability and integrity of transaction surveillance systems. Utilize understanding of Compliance AML Transaction Surveillance Program and AML business knowledge to design, develop, test and maintain software systems by utilizing skills in Algorithms, Data Structures, Java programming, ant script, Maven, Drools framework, Fitnesse, JUnit, JDBC, XSL, XML, DB2, Linux/Unix as well as proprietary frameworks such as Mojo, Mithra, Surveillance Container, Metrics and Magma. Responsible for performing analysis of impact to transaction surveillance systems due to various firm initiatives and devising solutions by closely working with cross divisional teams across regions.Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Three (3) years of experience (with Master’s degree) in the job offered or a related software development position in the financial industry or five (5) years of experience (with Bachelor’s degree) in the job offered or a software development position in the financial industry. Must have three (3) years experience in Java, DB2, Linux/Unix and Data Structures. Must have one (1) year of experience in JDBC, Algorithms, Maven, DROOLS, JUNIT, Fitnesse, XSL, Ant Scripts and XML. Must have one (1) year experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing and deployment phases.
