Operations plays a vital role in the firm's ability to innovate and deliver the solutions our clients need.  We partner with the firm's trading, sales & asset management businesses in order to enter new markets, launch new products and actively manage the millions of transactions the firm executes on a daily basis. From the most basic security to the most complex structured derivative, Operations is integrally involved in supporting the trading of these products.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management is the asset management arm of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS). Goldman Sachs Asset Management has been providing discretionary investment advisory services since 1988 and has investment professionals in all major financial centers around the world. The company offers investment strategies across a broad range of asset classes to institutional and individual clients globally.

The Asset Management Operations team is based in 7 centers across the globe. All centers have exposure to a diverse range of clients and a complex product range covering equities, fixed income, currency and derivatives.  It consists of four broad functional areas, Trade Management, Portfolio Control & Analysis, Investment Services Group and Global Projects.
This is a diverse team working in a dynamic environment where control, client service and excellence in execution are fundamental principles.

SUMMARY:
The Portfolio Analytics & Reporting team consists of approximately 4 professionals and has primary responsibility for all aspects of portfolio control, reconciliation oversight,  performance, net asset valuation calculations, cash management, client on-boarding, and client reporting. The group has extensive interaction with internal and external parties both to ensure effective oversight for existing business but also to shape and implement solutions for new products, strategies and systems.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversight of processing performed by third party vendors - monitoring controls execution, break resolution performance, portfolio data, delivery and turnaround times, etc
- Being an escalation point for items which the processing hubs cannot resolve
- Review and investigate monthly performance returns, review reporting for internally  and external managed portfolios
- Manage the client reporting process from reconciliation to report publishing & distribution
- Assist with project initiatives designed to improve data delivery or analysis for client portfolio managers and lead portfolio managers. This includes seeking opportunities to improve automation or to identify tasks currently undertaken by the business  which can be transferred to Operations
- Client implementation and other specialized client requests
- Collaborate with BDS and Products teams for monthly /quarterly consultant database and questionnaire submissions
- Act as liaison between operations, business, marketing, risk, technology, legal, trustees, custodian banks, issuers, consultants, and clients

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelors degree
- 2 or more years experience in the financial industry working with Fixed Income products.

Preferred Qualifications

- Stable Value portfolio management and administration experience is also preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Fixed income products
- Portfolio Accounting System knowledge
- Past experience of process improvement analysis, project planning/coordination and implementation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
- Strong MS Excel and analytical skills
