The Information Management and Technology unit provides core IT infrastructure and business application services to the WBG headquarters in Washington, D.C. and country offices. The IMT strategy is designed to align IT initiatives with the WBG business strategy and with the overarching objective of ensuring that users have uniform and easy access to information and systems, both from Washington and country offices. IMT has management responsibility for most WBG IT services, business solutions, and the underlying technology infrastructure. IMT’s Technology and Engineering department is responsible for providing and maintaining the IT infrastructure framework, which supports staff and business applications in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The department strives to provide quality services to meet a variety of business requirements and its performance is regularly assessed by means of industry relevant benchmarks and annual certification/compliance with standards frameworks, including SOX, ISO2000,and ISO27001. The scope of activities for IMT’s Technology and Engineering department includes a wide range of services, including data center operations, global network telecommunications, video-conferencing, desktop and server support for Windows, UNIX, and Linux, email, collaboration, portals, Web, financial and HR platform support with SAP and PeopleSoft. The services are tightly integrated and standardized in a way to provide 24x7 availability and transparency to WBG employees and clients around the world. IMT’s Technology and Engineering department is proud of the quality of its cadre of IT professionals. Duties and Accountabilities:
Support SAP Basis & Netweaver administration tasks in SAP ECC6, EP, PI, CRM, BW and SM. • Installation, Configuration, Security and support management of SAP Netweaver Systems • Support the application and development teams in troubleshooting of problems in SAP Java • Development Infrastructure and Production systems • Support SAP XI and IBM MQ messaging infrastructure • Server security management and Planning and installation of third party software, backups • and restores. • Daily monitoring of System Performance • Daily monitoring and investigation of the System Log for unusual activities/errors/warnings. • Application of Support Packages as agreed to by the organization’s business stakeholders • Client copies and/or refreshes as agreed to by the organization’s business stakeholders • Troubleshooting analysis of application problems within the Functional and Development streams • Complete Oracle Database installation/upgrade/patching/tuning cycle exercises (for both, SAP and Non-SAP databases); Regular SAP’s SBP patching with full documentation. • Setup/Configuration of Oracle Database backups and restores (via RMAN/BR*Tools). • Support for Oracle Database Monitoring from both, SAP Application level as well as Command Line. • Installation/Upgrade of Java and ABAP AIX kernel. • Serve as liaison to software vendors • Maintain current and accurate documentation of systems configuration and operational processes • Participate in the On Call rotation in support of development and production systems • Follow ITIL processes for incident management, change management and problem management • Compliance with ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 standard processes
Selection Criteria:
First Level Bachelors Degree in Engineering or MCA. • 7 + years experience as a SAP Basis/Netweaver Administrator in managing SAP systems. • Expertise in SAP Basis tasks with Oracle and AIX platforms • Expertise in Administration of SAP ECC, Enterprise Portal, Process Integration, CRM, • Business Intelligence and Solution Manager. • Good understanding of SAP Netweaver systems and integration. • Familiarity with IBM p-Series including p4, p5, p6 servers, LPAR configuration and management. • Experience with Business Objects Administration and Informatica is required • Familiarity with Wily Introscope for root cause analysis • Familiarity with Open Text IXOS is a plus • Experience in AIX System security and UNIX shell scripts • Experience in administering servers in IBM HACMP Cluster Server failover environment. • SAP Technology certification is required. • Oracle Certified Professional (11g) and/or AIX system Administrator Certificate is a plus. • Experience with Oracle 11g RMAN and Oracle Data Guard is a plus. • Experience with a Programming Language such as C or C++ is a plus.. • Relevant experience in use of ITIL processes • Relevant experience for SOX control compliance of critical financial systems • Effective interpersonal and communication skills • Willingness to work on flexible working hours including weekends Competencies Client Orientation - Takes personal responsibility and accountability for timely response to client queries, requests or needs, working to remove obstacles that may impede execution or overall success.
