Organisation situated at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. Satish Dhawan Space Centre
SHAR has facilities of Solid Propellant Production, a Rocket Motor Static Test Facility and
Launch Complexes for variety of rockets, Telemetry, Telecommand, Tracking, Data
Acquisition and processing facilities and other support services.

4. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC have to submit attested copies of Caste
Certificates issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format applicable
for reservation in jobs under Government of India.
In respect of OBC candidates, reservation will be available only to candidates, who
do not fall in the Creamy Layer. OBC Certificate must specifically include the
clause regarding “Exclusion from Creamy Layer” issued by competent authority in
prescribed format applicable for reservation in jobs under Government of India and
should be updated/valid as per OM No.36012/22/93-Estt (SCT), dt.08-09-1993
issued by Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India at the relevant
point of time i.e., at the time of submission of on-line application.
5. Selection Process : The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and
possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible to be
called for written test/interview. Based on the academic performance and biodata,
initial screening will be done to short-list candidates for taking up written
test/interview. Only short-listed candidates will be called for written test/interview
as the case may be.
6. Travelling Allowance: Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to
and fro Second Class Railway Fare by the shortest route from the address given in
the web application to the place of interview or normal bus fare, whichever is less,
on production of proof of journey such as the Railway Ticket Number(s)/PNR
Number(s) or Bus Ticket(s) etc.
7. For post No. 16 Sportsmen who have participated in any of the recognised
Sports/Events conducted by the Competent Sports Board/Federation at
National/International/Inter University will be given special consideration as per
rules, if they fulfill other conditions.
8. Candidates will have to produce proof of the details furnished in their applications
submitted on-line as and when required.
9. Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original
documents, including No Objection Certificate, if employed already, in proof of
details furnished in their applications submitted on-line, at the time of interview.
If any information furnished on-line is found to be wrong or false, the candidate
will not be interviewed and TA will not be paid.
10.At present the place of posting is SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota, but the selected
candidates are liable to be posted in any of the Centres/Units of the Indian Space
Research Organisation/Department of Space situated in India as and when
required.
11. For Scientific & Technical posts (Post Nos. 06 to 12), the Organisation has a
progressive HRD policy and provides an excellent growth potential for the right
individual through its periodical Merit Based Performance review system (called
Merit Promotion Scheme) delinked from availability of higher post, by which the
staff can be evaluated for the advancement of their career in the Organisation.
